RENTAL CAP SURVEY: YOUR VOICE MATTERS
Thank you to everyone who attended the August Town Hall meeting on a potential rental cap for Savina. As a follow-up, the Board of Directors released an owner survey on September 23, and the response so far has been encouraging. We have already received 109 responses, roughly 38% of 285 units. Thank you to every owner who has taken the time to participate!
I encourage all owners who have not yet responded to participate and let their voice be heard. Whether you support a rental cap, oppose one, or are still undecided, your perspective will help the Board decide whether to move forward with any proposal. Please note that no CC&R amendment or membership vote is currently being proposed. The survey is simply a way to gauge owner interest and gather feedback.
How to Take the Survey
Visit the link shared via email. No account, password, or download is needed. Answer each question, then enter your unit number and last name and click “Done.” Your response is not recorded until you click “Done,” so we recommend completing the survey in one sitting. If the link does not open, copy and paste it into your browser’s address bar.
Please submit one survey per unit. If your unit has more than one owner, please coordinate and submit a single response.
If you have questions or trouble accessing the survey, please contact Alma Galindo at agalindo@actionlife.com or 619-255-1204. Thank you for your time and participation.
RESIDENT SURVEY RESULTS: THANK YOU, SAVINA!
Thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s resident survey. We received 93 responses, and your feedback gives the Board and management team a clear picture of what is working well and where we can continue to improve.
We are pleased to share that satisfaction improved across every headline measure compared to 2025. The largest gains came in how residents rate management and administration, which rose 19 points to 83%, and in whether residents feel we are achieving our mission for the community, which rose 18 points to 86%. Overall living experience, cleanliness, and the likelihood of recommending Savina to others also moved up, with cleanliness reaching an impressive 98%.
These results are especially meaningful because this has been a year of change. This is my first year as General Manager and Carlos’s first year as Assistant General Manager, and many members of our team are newer as well. We are grateful for the patience and support you have shown as we have settled in.
Our Team Made a Difference
Many of you took the time to recognize our staff, describing them as friendly, helpful, professional, and responsive. The front desk and ACO teams received especially strong praise. Several residents also named the sense of community and the care shown by staff as reasons they love living at Savina and would recommend it to others. Thank you for these kind words. They mean a great deal to our team.
Where We Are Focused Next
Some feedback reflected the adjustment that comes with a newer team, including comments about staff turnover and consistency in following up on requests. We hear you. Our team is focused on making sure every request is followed through to completion and on building the same familiarity and rapport with residents that you have come to expect. That kind of trust takes time to earn, and we are committed to earning it.
Thank you again for your participation! If you have questions or suggestions at any time, please feel free to reach out.

TRASH & RECYCLING REMINDER
With the recent change in pickup schedules following our transition to a new trash hauler, we need everyone’s cooperation to help keep things running smoothly.
The main trash and recycling bins are located on P1. Items that do not fit in the trash chutes must be taken directly to the bins and should not be left in the chutes, floor trash rooms, or around the bins.
On nearly every pickup day, we find large amounts of unflattened cardboard boxes stacked in and around the recycling area, causing bins to overflow. While our hauler has been accommodating, continued overflows may result in additional service charges to the Association.
Please take a moment to break down and flatten all cardboard boxes before placing them in the recycling bins. Proper disposal helps keep the area clean, reduces costs, and minimizes the need for violation notices and potential fines.
CRSSD FESTIVAL RETURNS TO WATERFRONT PARK
Waterfront Park should expect increased activity in and around the waterfront as CRSSD Festival returns September 26–27. The two-day music festival will bring large crowds to the area, with doors opening at noon each day and peak arrival times expected between approximately 4 and 6 p.m. Residents should plan for heavier traffic, increased pedestrian activity, and greater demand for parking throughout the weekend. Waterfront Park will be closed to the public on Saturday and Sunday, with limited access beginning during event setup and continuing through breakdown.
OKTOBERFEST HAPPY HOUR
Come join your neighbors for an Oktoberfest Happy Hour on Wednesday, October 7th, from 6:00–8:00 PM in the Social Lounge. Beer, brats and bites will be provided, and non-alcoholic beer will also be available. Maximum of 2 adults per unit. A $10 per person deposit is required to reserve your spot. The deposit will be refunded when you attend the event. If you are a no-show or cancel after September 18th, the deposit will be forfeited. Please bring a $10 check per person to the front desk to confirm your reservation. Owners may choose to charge the deposit to their account on the registration form. Please RSVP by Friday, September 18th.

SOCIAL LOUNGE CATERING & EVENTS
To help ensure a safe and successful event, any caterer or food service vendor hired for an event must provide proof of liability and worker’s compensation insurance. The Association must be listed as an additional insured, and proof of coverage must be submitted at least seven (7) days prior to the event.
Please note that vendors who do not provide the required insurance documentation by the deadline may not be permitted access to the property on the day of the event. We encourage residents to coordinate with their vendors early to help avoid any disruptions to their event plans. Thank you!
