ADVANCE COMMUNITY NOTICE – UPCOMING WATERFRONT PARK EVENTS

We would like to provide residents with advance notice of two upcoming large-scale events taking place in the downtown waterfront area:

CRSSD Festival – Waterfront Park
March 14th 15th, 2026

Festival gates are scheduled to open at 12:00 PM each day. While there is no formally designated end time currently published, performances are anticipated to continue through the evening hours and potentially as late as midnight on Saturday.

Boots in the Park – Waterfront Park
April 11th  2026

As these event dates approach, additional communications will be distributed with more detailed information, including any confirmed road closures, traffic control measures, or access impacts.

This notice is intended to make residents aware well in advance so appropriate planning can be made.

Please be advised that both events are large outdoor music festivals. Residents may experience heightened noise levels, including amplified music and bass, as well as event lighting effects during festival hours. Additionally, the surrounding area should expect significantly increased pedestrian activity and heavier vehicle congestion, which may result in travel delays near the community.

If you have any questions, please contact Carlos Mayes at cmayes@actionlife.com or Alma Galindo at agalindo@actionlife.com.

GYM ETIQUETTE REMINDER

We would like to kindly remind residents to please be mindful of the posted gym signage regarding cardio‑equipment use. When another resident is waiting, use of cardio machines is limited to 30 minutes to ensure fair access for everyone.

Communication is key! If you are hoping to use a machine that is currently occupied, feel free to let your neighbor know so they can be mindful of their remaining time.

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone who enjoys watching movies or listening to music on personal devices to please bring headphones.

We truly appreciate your courtesy and cooperation in following all fitness‑center guidelines as it helps keep the space welcoming and enjoyable for all residents!

SEDIMENT IN HIGH‑RISE WATER LINES AFTER A BUILDING‑WIDE SHUT DOWN

When a high‑rise undergoes a full water shut down, the change in water pressure inside the building’s plumbing can cause natural sediment to shift within the pipes. This sediment is made up of harmless mineral deposits (like calcium and magnesium) as well as tiny particles that settle over time in large water systems.

What happens during a shut down? When water stops flowing, any settled minerals in the pipes remain undisturbed. Once water service is restored and pressure quickly returns, that sudden rush of water can stir up the sediment, carrying it temporarily into fixtures throughout the building.

How does this affect residents? For a short period after service is restored, residents may notice:

  • Slightly cloudy or discolored water, sometimes accompanied by a temporary odor.
  • A change in water pressure.
  • Particles coming through the tap for the first few minutes.

Is the water safe? Yes. These minerals are naturally occurring in municipal water and pose no health risk. Running taps for a minute or two usually clears the lines quickly.

This is all normal in high‑rise buildings and generally resolves once the lines have fully flushed. In some cases, residents may need to manually clean their faucet aerators, or a plumber may be needed if sediment becomes lodged in a shower valve.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during our must recent shutdown!
