NOTICE OF TOWN HALL MEETING: RENTAL CAP
Owners, please Save the Date for an upcoming town hall meeting to discuss the topic of a potential rental cap at Savina.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide owners with an opportunity to learn about the potential benefits and challenges of implementing a rental cap. This is an informational session intended to foster open dialog and allow owners to ask questions before the Board determines whether pursuing a rental cap is in the best interest of the association.
We are pleased to welcome Sidnev “Sid” Muldrow, a trusted San Diego real estate advisor. Sid will provide industry insight and discuss how rental caps can impact condominium communities, property values, and marketability. Whether you support the idea, oppose it, or simply want to learn more, we encourage all owners to attend and participate in the conversation.

GIVE YOUR UNUSED BIKE A SECOND LIFE
If you have a bike that you no longer use or wish to keep, this is a great opportunity to help us clear out the bike room while supporting a meaningful cause.
We will be scheduling a bike donation pickup with the Veterans Thrift Store for Monday, August 31st. Your donation can help someone in need while creating more space for your neighbors and keeping the community bike rooms organized. Every bike donated has a positive impact!

WATERFRONT PARK EVENT
Please be advised that the Cross Pollination Music Festival will take place at Waterfront Park on Sunday, August 9, from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The event is expected to welcome approximately 6,500 to 7,500 attendees, so residents should anticipate increased activity in the surrounding area.
In preparation for the festival, temporary parking restrictions and traffic impacts will be in effect beginning Thursday, August 6, through Tuesday, August 11, as event organizers set up and dismantle the venue. Residents may also hear music during scheduled sound checks in the days leading up to the event.
Event organizers are working closely with the City of San Diego, the Port of San Diego, and local public safety agencies to help ensure the event is safe and well-managed while minimizing impacts on the surrounding neighborhood.
A FRIENDLY REMINDER ABOUT OUR GARDENS
The flowering plants behind the cabanas have been attracting bees, which are a natural part of our outdoor environment. While this is not a cause for alarm, we want to make our guests aware in case anyone has bees or pollen allergies. Please take any necessary precautions and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding landscape
DO NOT STORE FOOD OR PANTRY ITEMS IN YOUR STORAGE UNIT
To help protect everyone’s stored belongings, please do not keep any pantry or food items in your storage unit. This includes canned and packaged foods, dry goods such as rice, pasta, flour, cereal, beans, and grains, as well as pet food, bird seed, and animal treats. Even sealed food products can sometimes contain pantry pests, such as cigarette beetles, which may already be present in the packaging and can spread to neighboring units.
Keeping food out of storage helps prevent pest infestations and ensures a clean, safe environment for all residents.
DID YOU KNOW? PROCESS SERVER POLICY
Did you know that registered process servers, Sheriffs, Marshals, and licensed private investigators may be granted access to the property to serve legal documents to residents? For everyone’s safety, all process servers are required to provide proper identification and documentation before being escorted directly to the resident’s door by staff. They are not permitted to roam the property or enter a residence, and staff cannot accept legal documents on a resident’s behalf. If papers are left behind after being refused, they will be forwarded to the resident by first-class mail. You can find the complete Process Server Policy in the Resident Handbook on page 76.
BEFORE YOU RENOVATE: IMPORTANT COMMUNITY UPDATE
We understand homeowners often look forward to making improvements or upgrades to their units. However, because the community is currently in the Construction Defect (CD) claim process, it may best to wait before starting any modifications inside your unit.
Until the claim is resolved and the repair scope is finalized, any changes could be affected by future work. For example, if repairs are needed behind walls or in areas you have upgraded, those improvements might need to be removed or altered, potentially at your expense.
Pausing for now helps avoid unnecessary costs and ensures your upgrades won’t interfere with required repairs. Please contact us if you have any questions.
LOUD CARS ENTERING/EXITING GARAGE
We understand that some vehicles naturally produce more noise than others. We kindly ask residents with louder vehicles to be mindful when entering or exiting the garage, as well as when driving in front of the building. Please avoid excessive engine noise, particularly during the early morning and late evening hours. Your consideration and cooperation help maintain a peaceful environment for everyone in your community.

St. Vincent with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra-Embarcadero-August 1st
Last September, St. Vincent collaborated with conductor Jules Buckley and a 60-piece orchestra on a one-off concert for the BBC Proms series. Its success birthed two further triumphs for the acclaimed alternative musician: a sublime live album (Live in London) and a nationwide orchestral tour, with its penultimate performance set for Friday (7:30 p.m.) at The Rady Shell. Joining St. Vincent will be the San Diego Symphony Orchestra and a special guest, Pakistani singer and composer Arooj Aftab. Tickets range from $68-$117 for this concert.

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha- La Jolla Playhouse- July 28–August 9
Have a laugh, or two, or seven during ha ha ha ha ha ha ha at La Jolla Playhouse’s Mandall Weiss Forum. Julia Masli’s solo production has received rave reviews from Edinburgh to Pasadena and will make its local premiere with a two-week engagement. Though much of ha ha ha ha ha ha ha relies on Masli’s improvisations, the show is built off of audience participation, ensuring each night’s outcome is as unpredictable as its host. Tickets range from $25-$49, with performances this Tuesday-Friday (7 p.m.), Saturday (2:30 & 7:30 p.m.) and Sunday (6:30 p.m.).
