PLEASE PLAN AHEAD: REDUCED ELEVATOR SERVICE NEXT WEEK

As part of a required State of California elevator inspection and compliance process, Mitsubishi Electric will be performing scheduled maintenance and testing from Monday, July 14 through Tuesday, July 21 (excluding weekends). During regular business hours, up to two passenger elevators may be temporarily out of service at a time while work is completed.

In addition, P.A.C.E., our fob vendor, will be onsite to troubleshoot the elevator fob readers in cab 2, which have experienced intermittent reliability issues for some time. We understand this may cause delays and apologize for the inconvenience. Please allow extra time when traveling throughout the building during this period and thank you for your patience as we complete these important safety and reliability improvements.

EMERGENCY KEYS AND COURTESY KEYS

Residents are reminded that the Association must have an emergency access key (“e-key”) on file for their Residential Unit. An e-key is provided exclusively for emergency situations, such as water intrusion, fire, or life safety concerns, and may only be used by the Association or its authorized representatives when necessary to protect the Unit or respond to an emergency. The Association’s e-key is not a courtesy access key and cannot be used to provide entry to guests, vendors, housekeepers, family members, or other individuals.

Courtesy keys (“c-keys”) are separate from e-keys and are intended for Residents to authorize access into the unit to trusted individuals, such as housekeepers, family members, vendors, or other approved guests. Residents may keep c-keys at the front desk and may also add their fobs to these keys.

If you have any questions regarding emergency and courtesy keys, please contact Resident Services Coordinator, Joseph, at jbrooks@actionlife.com.

PLEASE BE AWARE: NESTING SEAGULLS ON THE 5TH FLOOR SOCIAL LOUNGE ROOF

We would like to make everyone aware that a seagull is currently nesting on the 5th floor social lounge roof.

Please use extra caution when enjoying the pool, spa, barbecue area, or social lounge for the next few weeks. Mother birds may become protective of their nests and chicks and could swoop down or attempt to strike you with their feet or beaks if they feel threatened.

Increased bird activity may also result in bird droppings throughout the area. Our staff will do their best to address and clean affected areas as quickly as possible. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

HOSTING GATHERINGS IN YOUR HOME

Planning a get-together? Residents are welcome to host gatherings in their homes while helping ensure everyone in the community enjoys a safe and pleasant environment.

Events with more than 10 guests require written notice and the appropriate forms to be submitted at least 48 hours in advance. Depending on the size or nature of the event, additional Association personnel or a refundable deposit may be required.

Please keep gatherings within your residence, ensure guests park only in authorized spaces, and be mindful of noise levels and requests from Association staff or neighbors. Thank you for helping make your community enjoyable for everyone by being a considerate host.

EMERGENCY EVACUATION ASSISTANCE INFORMATION

For the safety and preparedness of our community, we would like to remind residents that the San Diego Fire Department requires buildings to maintain a list of residents who may require assistance during an emergency evacuation. This information is kept in the Fire Control Room and is used by emergency personnel to help ensure residents receive appropriate assistance if needed.

Please note that during an emergency, the San Diego Fire Department will determine the safest method of evacuation based on the circumstances and the needs of each individual resident.

If you or a member of your household requires additional assistance during an emergency evacuation, whether on a permanent basis or temporarily due to surgery, injury, illness, or another medical condition, please contact Alma Galindo in writing at agalindo@actionlife.com so we can update our records.

PACKAGE DELIVERY REMINDER

We would like to remind everyone of the importance of including both the Resident’s name and unit number on all packages delivered to Savina. Recently, we have received an increased number of packages that do not include enough identifying information, which makes it difficult for the Access Control Officer (ACO) team to determine the intended recipient and ensure proper delivery. We understand that packages are sometimes purchased by family members, friends, or others on behalf of a Resident. To help avoid delays or confusion, please ask that they include your full name and unit number on the shipping label. Packages that cannot be identified will be returned to the sender.

As a reminder, the Association’s package acceptance guidelines follow United States Postal Service size and weight limitations. The Front Desk may accept packages up to 108 inches in combined length and girth and up to 70 pounds. Residents are responsible for making special arrangements with Management for oversized deliveries, including large packages, furniture, or appliances.

A PLEASANT SOUND EXPERIENCE FOR EVERYONE

The music in the common area is one of a kind, and we have always received positive feedback from residents and guests. We try to keep it playing at a comfortable level so everyone can enjoy the space. If you notice the volume seems higher than usual or music is playing during quiet hours (10:00 PM–7:00 AM), please let the front desk know so we can take care of it.

YOUR FEEDBACK MATTERS: ACTIONLIFE RESIDENT SURVEY

Residents will receive a survey around July 20th regarding their experience with Action and the services we, the Savina staff, provide. We would truly appreciate hearing your feedback, as your thoughts and experiences help us continue to improve as a team and enhance the quality of life for all residents.

STAFF UPDATE

We would like to recognize and thank Kay Thomas for her time at Savina. Her last day was July 2.

During her time with us, Kay stepped in to help cover shifts while several team members were on leave. We thank Kay for her contributions and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.

HOLO HOLO FESTIVAL COMING TO WATERFRONT PARK ON JULY 18TH

San Diego residents should be aware that Holo Holo Festival will bring thousands of visitors to Waterfront Park for a celebration of island music, culture, and community.

Residents can expect increased pedestrian activity, heavier traffic, and limited parking in the surrounding area during the festival. Residents are encouraged to plan, allow extra travel time, and consider alternate transportation options to help navigate the increased activity.
