UPCOMING BUILDING WIDE WATER SHUT OFF – FEBRUARY 11TH 2026
Please be advised that the building’s water will be turned off from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11.
During this time, the Association’s plumbing experts will be conducting a detailed investigation and analysis of the building’s plumbing systems and components.
Because there will be no water service for any units during this window, we strongly encourage residents to fill bathtubs or sinks beforehand, so you can continue using water throughout the day for essential needs such as washing dishes or flushing toilets (drains can continue to be used normally). Please note that the bathrooms near the fitness room, as well as the one in the lobby, will be closed and unavailable for use during the shut off.
After water service is restored, residents may experience temporary plumbing noises, air bubbles, or inconsistent water pressure as the system rebalances. These conditions are normal and should resolve on their own without intervention.
A plumbing contractor representative will be on-site the following day, February 12, to assist with any concerns. If you experience any issues after service is restored, please report them to savina@fentongrant.com.
Thank you so much for your attention to this matter. Weekly e-mail/text notifications will be sent to remind you of this shut off. If you have any questions regarding the shut off, please contact Alma Galindo, General Manager, at 619.255.1204 or via e-mail at agalindo@actionlife.com.
GYM ETIQUETTE REMINDER
We would like to kindly remind residents to please be mindful of the posted gym signage regarding cardio‑equipment use. When another resident is waiting, use of cardio machines is limited to 30 minutes to ensure fair access for everyone.
Communication is key! If you are hoping to use a machine that is currently occupied, feel free to let your neighbor know so they can be mindful of their remaining time.
We would also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone who enjoys watching movies or listening to music on personal devices to please bring headphones.
We truly appreciate your courtesy and cooperation in following all fitness‑center guidelines as it helps keep the space welcoming and enjoyable for all residents!
TRAIN NOISE UPDATE
This message is to provide an update regarding the excessive train horn noise that was heard yesterday and earlier today.
It was brought to our attention today, January 30, that a vehicle struck a pole on Beech Street, causing it to fall and temporarily impact the train tracks and the train communication system.
Due to this disruption, train conductors were required to rely on their horns to communicate, which resulted in the increased and frequent horn activity throughout the day. We have since been advised by the Train Coalition that the issue has been fully resolved, and normal operations have resumed. Residents should no longer experience the excessive or consistent horn noise related to this incident.
FRIENDLY REMINDER: PLEASE ENSURE CONTRACTORS DO NOT DISCONNECT FIRE SYSTEM COMPONENTS
As a reminder, contractors working inside units may not remove, disconnect, or tamper with any fire/life safety equipment, including speakers, strobes, sensors, or related devices.
These components may be covered for protection, but they must never be unplugged or removed. Recently, a disconnected fire system speaker caused a trouble signal on the building’s fire panel and required immediate investigation.
Please note that Savina’s fire system operates on a loop, meaning disconnecting one device can impact multiple units and may interfere with life-safety alerts during an emergency.
Any costs resulting from contractor interference such as engineer call-outs, after-hours work, or system repairs may be billed back to the unit owner.
Please share this reminder with your contractors before work begins. If you have questions, the management team is happy to assist.
